If you change the boot priorities with HDToolbox to have a higher priority
for the Syjet (let's say 5 for df0, 3 for the Syjet and 1 for the HD), you
should be able to boot from the Syjet without problem.
Or am I missing something? I have no syjet...

I think it is a bad idea to name a partition Sys as it is the name assigned
by the OS to the boot device (hd or floppy or anything); especially if you
do not boot from your Sys partition, as you will then have two devices
with the same logical name.
